Lately in my home we have been verbalizing goals. So if you joined us for dinner you might hear “I’m going to make the soccer team,” or “That role in the play is mine” spoken at high levels. At first we started to do it jokingly, but lately I have noticed how making such bold statements at high levels has helped the confidence of the family. Although it can feel a little “new agey” this tactic has given me a nice jolt of energy when needed. So if your confidence waivers, just shout out your goals over and over. It seems to work for Cookie Monster.
